Several travel agencies in Samarkand region announced the opening of a preferential Ramadan Tour Package on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, at the initiative of the Main Department for Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Samarkand region and the regional department of the Federation of Trade Unions. The tour package will be valid from April 25 to May 5.

“The main goal of this campaign is to attract local and foreign tourists to travel to Samarkand on the weekends provided on the occasion of the Ramadan Hayit holiday, to create opportunities for them to spend meaningful leisure time”, says the Deputy Hokim of Samarkand Region, Head of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Rustam Kobilov. – Within the framework of this project, excursions to the holy places and historical sights of Samarkand will be organized. Discounts of up to 20 percent will be provided when visiting the complexes.

During the month of Ramadan, iftars (evening meals) are organized. Benefits will also be provided in hotels, transport and public catering facilities. Cultural programs, entertainment events, enlightenment meetings will be held. Local and foreign tourists may take part in the Fountains Day to be held on May 1 in the city of Samarkand, as well as throughout the country, and events on the occasion of the Ramadan Hayit celebrations.
