CIS Games will be held in Belarus on 3-15 August 2023 in 20 sports.
According to the CIS Executive Committee, the concept of the Games provides for holding sports events in nine cities in different regions of Belarus. The expected number of participants in the Games – athletes, coaches, judges, medical personnel and others – is about 3 thousand people.
Sports competitions are proposed to be held in Minsk (athletics, volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics in group and individual exercises, gun shooting, beach soccer, modern pentathlon), Borisov (futsal), Salihorsk (freestyle, women’s, Greco-Roman wrestling), Molodechno (beach volleyball), Brest (handball), Orsha (boxing, Thai boxing), Zhlobin (judo, sambo), Grodno (3x3 basketball, weightlifting), Mogilev (swimming and archery).
The first Games of the CIS countries at the initiative of Russia were held on 4-11 September 2021 in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan). It was attended by 1.2 thousand athletes from 9 Commonwealth countries, including Uzbekistan.
