Uzbek boxers are successfully partaking in the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in Rio.

Our experienced athlete Bektemir Melikuziev, champion of the junior Olympics, the Asian champion and winner of a silver medal at the world championship, defeated Misael Uziel Rodriguez from Mexico in the semifinal and went into the finals in the men's middleweight (75kg). The middleweight final will be fought between Cuba's Arlen Lopez and Uzbekistan's Bektemir Melikuziev.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev won a bronze medal of the Olympic Games in men’s bantamweight (56 kg) in boxing.
