Beijing hosts China – Central Asia News Agency Forum

The China – Central Asia News Agency Forum took place in Beijing.

The event, organized by the leading state news agency of China – Xinhua, was attended by the heads of official news agencies of all Central Asian countries – the Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA, the Khovar News Agency of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz National News Agency – Kabar, the Kazinform International News Agency under the TV and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan, the Media Turkmen News Agency.

President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua noted that the China – Central Asia Summit held on May 18-19 in Xi'an created a unique platform and opened up new prospects for continuing cooperation between our countries.

The News Agency Forum is a logical continuation of this summit, and the media have an essential role in implementing the agreements reached.

The parties spoke about the beginning of a new era for six countries, vast opportunities for strengthening cooperation, and mutual trust in various fields, particularly in exchanging information.

The final document on the work of First China – Central Asia News Agency Forum was adopted.

Today, on May 24, the event participants will meet with Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Head of the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party.

During the dialogue, issues of further enhancing collaboration between the news agencies of the five countries and the Chinese media were discussed.

The parties exchanged views on developing relations on the mutual exchange of information and improving experience and qualifications.
