On June 22, Beijing hosted the 2022 BRICS Business Forum in a hybrid format, which is a platform for exchanging views on strengthening trade, business, investment and industrial ties between the member countries of this association.
The event on deepening the BRICS Business Partnership to jointly create a better future for global development was organized by the BRICS Business Council together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
The forum was divided into 5 panel sections, during which issues of global economic recovery, transition to green technologies, the introduction of the digital economy, combating the pandemic, industrial development and others were discussed.
The leaders of the BRICS member countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – delivered video messages at the forum.
Heads of ministries, agencies, financial institutions, public and private companies of countries outside the association also attended the event.
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan D. Vakhabov also took part in the forum. He made a presentation on “Working together against the challenges of a pandemic and expanding cooperation in the healthcare”.
