From January 13 to 17, 2025, Astana hosted the 21st International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.

Uzbekistan schoolchildren won 2 gold, 5 silver, and 12 bronze medals. The 10th grader of the school No. 21 in Kashkadarya region’s Mirishkor district, Behruzbek Elmurodov, won a bronze medal at the Olympiad.

Earlier, he took the honorable 3rd place in mathematics among youth from 16 countries at the 20th International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Information Technology, in Almaty in 2024, as well as the honorable 3rd place at the Tashkent International Mathematics Olympiad, held jointly with the World Bank, UNICEF, Nordic International University and other international organizations.
