Bavarian experience in leadership training is studied
13:24 / 2025-05-22

The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted an international roundtable on “The Bavarian Experience in Developing Professional and Managerial Competencies among Civil Servants”.

The event brought together representatives of ministries and agencies, other government institutions, international partners, professors and researchers from the Academy, the Bavarian School of Administration, the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and media members.

Rector of the Academy of Public Administration, Jasur Salikhov, noted that the “School for Training Hokims”, successfully operating at the Academy, was inaugurated last year by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz.

Representatives of public administration bodies offered recommendations on studying and applying Bavaria’s experience, organizing practical training adapted to local specifics, establishing simulation labs, and introducing case study methods and other tools for assessing leadership competencies.

The international roundtable was a logical continuation of ongoing efforts to incorporate advanced international practices and elevate the civil service system to a qualitatively new level. The latest model developed based on the Bavarian example will ensure comprehensive training for future leaders.
