The Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan, Hilola Umarova, met with the Minister of Education of Poland, Barbara Nowacka, who is currently visiting Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed topics such as STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), digitalization and information technology in education, joint educational projects, student vocational training, and cooperation between pedagogical universities.

Bianka Siwińska, President & CEO of the Perspektywy Education Foundation, attended the meeting as an honorary guest.

During the dialogue, the parties agreed to collaborate on international projects aimed at promoting gender equality and enhancing the role of women in the sector, particularly within the global TechWomen network.

“Uzbekistan is our key partner in the region”, Barbara Nowacka stated. “The reforms being implemented in the country’s higher educational institutions in the field of pedagogy are of great interest to us”.

It is worth noting that this marks the first time cooperation has been established with Poland in preschool and school education.
