Bangkok hosts the session of the Committee on Transport of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan are taking part in the event via videoconference.

Delegations from 53 participating countries and 9 allied member states of ESCAP consider the development of the regional transport system, several strategically important issues for the implementation of the ministerial declaration on the stable development of the industry in the region.

Within the framework of the regional program for 2022-2026, the development of the international transport corridor “China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan”, “Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar”, “Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Iran – India” and the status of launched projects to improve the security of international cargo transportation in Uzbekistan was considered.
