The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), as well as the most prominent Japanese corporations – Sumitomo, ITOCHU, Toyota Tsusho, Marubeni, Mitsui & Co., Mitsubishi, and Sojitz.

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, taking into account the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at creating favorable conditions for foreign investors. Special attention was paid to the issues of introducing advanced technologies and using the rich experience of Japanese companies.

“Finding the best solutions to existing issues, creating the most friendly conditions, facilitating win-win cooperation, and more were top topics of our agenda”, the Foreign Minister noted.

The meeting became a significant step towards deepening economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.
