The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with Catherine Russell, UNICEF Executive Director, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNICEF and the implementation of joint initiatives to protect children’s rights and interests, ensure their well-being, and promote sustainable development.
Mr. Saidov emphasized that creating the best conditions for the prosperity of future generations in Uzbekistan and around the world remains a top priority for the country’s government.
“We held a meaningful exchange of views on implementing important projects focused on creating better conditions for millions of children in our region. Uzbekistan highly values its partnership with UNICEF and remains ready to continue providing the fund with comprehensive support”, the Foreign Minister noted.
The meeting took place in a constructive and trusting atmosphere, reaffirming the mutual interest of both sides in further expanding cooperation.
