Bakhtiyor Saidov attends the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov attended the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council, in Vienna, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

According to the Uzbek FM, Uzbekistan has reaffirmed its firm commitment to constructive dialogue, expanding regional cooperation, and strengthening the multilateral system.

“The need to restore trust and overcome the deep fragmentation that currently characterizes international relations was emphasized during the meeting. In the context of growing geopolitical tensions, armed conflicts, cyber threats, and climate challenges that transcend national borders, international institutions, including the OSCE, must be strengthened to fulfill their key mission”, said Mr. Saidov.

Uzbekistan supports efforts to reform the Organization to increase its effectiveness, maintain an inclusive approach, and strengthen its ability to respond to current challenges.

The Uzbek FM also stressed the successful transformation of Central Asia into a region where trust, dialogue, and mutually beneficial cooperation are strengthened.

“Over the past eight years, the joint efforts of the countries of our region have solved long-standing problems, accelerated economic integration and strengthened transport links”, the Minister stressed.
