Recently adopted resolutions of the President “On measures for radically improving the system of training highly qualified personnel and further development of the scientific potential in dance art” and “On measures for further development of the art of national dance” have become an important event in the cultural life of the country and a vivid example of the state’s practical concern for development of Uzbek art.
According to various sources, Uzbekistan’s dance art originated in ancient times and embodied the best examples of oral folk art. We have heard the art of dance called “katta uyin”, which is a dance movement to the accompaniment of doira.
The resumption of the activities of Bahor Dance Ensemble can be called the restoration of traditions begun by a brilliant educator, an incomparable dancer Mukarrama Turgunbayeva.
The resolutions adopted by the Head of the state on measures for development of national dance art delighted all the compatriots, admirers of art, artists, choreographers and dance masters who learned that “Bahor” returns.
