The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism hosted a roundtable discussion on the occasion of the 540th anniversary of the great poet, scientist-encyclopedist, statesman and famous commander Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth.
The event was attended by the Deputy Director of the State Museum of Literature named after Alisher Navoi, Candidate of Philological Sciences Otabek Jurabayev, Head of the Kyrgyz National Cultural Center Rakhmatulla Jabbarov, Associate Professor of the National University of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Historical Sciences Otabek Alimardanov and others who noted that multifaceted creativity of Babur, his legacy is constantly being studied by the scientific community around the world.
“Human dignity, love for the Almighty run like a red line through all of Babur’s work”, says literary scholar Otabek Jurabayev. “We know from historical sources that, even though his whole life was spent in military campaigns, Babur always paid particular attention to the prosperity of those countries that he conquered, the tranquility and well-being of the population, and interethnic harmony.
At the event, reports were made on the global significance of Babur’s scientific legacy, its role in the education of young people, and issues of interethnic harmony.
