B2Gold is the first Canadian investor in Uzbekistan’s mining industry
A videoconference has been held with the Vice President of the Canadian gold mining company B2Gold Corporation Neil Reeder and Senior Vice President Tom Garagan in order to implement the tasks set by the government of the country in geology, as well as to attract foreign investment in promising industries.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington D.C., at the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the B2Gold investment project for development of the gold deposit in Navoi region, as well as further expansion of cooperation to attract investments of a number of large Canadian companies in the economy of Uzbekistan.
Canadian investors noted that the President’s initiative to build copper processing plants and metallurgical complexes to increase copper and gold production will have a multiplier effect on industrialization of the national economy.
Taking into account the leading role of Canada in this area, Neil Reeder expressed readiness of B2Gold to assist in building up close cooperation of Uzbekistan enterprises with international partners.
