Aziza Yakubova, defending the honor of Uzbekistan in the weight category up to 50 kg, won a historic victory at the 2022 IBA Women's World Boxing Championships, in Turkey.

She will be included in the history of the Uzbek boxing school as the first Uzbek athlete, who won the world championship among adults.

Aziza reached the semifinals, defeating Italian Giordana Sorrentino in the quarterfinals.
