Baku hosted the third festival “Uzbek Cuisine Week in Azerbaijan”, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan jointly with the NGO “In Support of Tourism and National Cuisine Development”, Trend News Agency reports.

The event was dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and the 31st anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

According to the Counselor of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan, Bakhram Gaipov, the traditional event once again underlines the friendly and fraternal relations between the countries, allows to learn more about the culinary traditions of the Uzbek people.

The competition that was organized during the week aroused great interest among the participants. Hundreds of dishes were presented at the event, and the best 25 were selected.
