The opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan Culture Days took place at the Uzbekistan Palace of International Forums.
The event gathered the general public, literature and art figures, activists of national cultural centers, and creative youth.
The Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov read out the congratulatory message of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the Azerbaijan Culture Days.
As noted, the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two peoples have a long history. In recent years, these ties have been strengthening between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and a new stage of cooperation has begun.
The 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth was widely celebrated in Tashkent last year at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan. The celebrations, book presentations, and exhibitions dedicated to his memory were held at a high level.
Three days of literary meetings, book presentations, cultural and enlightenment events, and exhibitions will be held in Tashkent.
At the opening ceremony, a concert program was performed, with the participation of art masters, young talents, and famous art groups from the two countries.
A colorful concert program by Azerbaijani cultural figures made a great impression on the participants.
