On October 20-21 last year, Azerbaijan Culture and Literature Days were held in the city of Nukus on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Azerbaijan Culture and Literature Center named after Hussein Javid was held at Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz.

The center hosts exhibitions dedicated to the development of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, literature, culture, art and history, as well as national costumes of the Azerbaijani people.

Cooperation is being established with higher education institutions and research centers of Azerbaijan, in particular, in the academic mobility, scientific and pedagogical areas. It is also planned to hold scientific events on literature, art, culture and history of peoples of the two countries.

The state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan serves to further strengthen partnerships in science, tourism and other areas.
