Awards given to winners and runners-up of contest
An award ceremony has taken place in the media hall of the national association of electronic mass media of Uzbekistan for the winners and runners-up of the republican contest “The greatest and dearest” .
An award ceremony has taken place in the media hall of the national association of electronic mass media of Uzbekistan for the winners and runners-up of the republican contest “The greatest and dearest” .The contest “The greatest and dearest” was held in accordance with a Presidential resolution dated 27 June 2017 on conducting celebrations of the 26th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, creative and public organizations, figures of literature, art and culture, spirituality propagators and journalists.
At the event, the director general of the Uzbek agency for the press and information, L.Tangriyev; and others said that the significance of the great and precious wealth – independence - in national development was rising.
Independence serves the people’s interests and helps to ensure peace and to raise the prestige of the country in the international arena.
This is confirmed by the “greatest and dearest” contest conducted by the Uzbek agency for the press and information, the Ministry of Culture, the creative union of journalists, the writers union, the Uzbekkino national cinematography agency, the Art Academy, the National television and radio company and the national association of electronic mass media.
This contest, which has 20 years of history, is conducted this year on the slogan of “My love and devotion to you, my native Uzbekistan”.
About 500 people submitted for the contest nearly 5 thousand works in such areas as literature, print and electronic mass media, visual arts, photography and cinematography.
These works focus mainly on the depiction of ideas of independence, the 2017-2021 Action Strategy on five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the essence and significance of the state programme “The Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests” and examples of people’s conscientious work and the country’s achievements, and the strengthening of people’s civic position.
At this ceremony, diplomas and memorable gifts were given to the winners and runners-up of the contest.
