Authorized representatives of parties have high hopes for voters’ support
18:57 / 2024-08-02

Preparations are underway for the upcoming October 27 elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and local Councils of People’s Deputies. Authorized representatives of political parties received signature sheets of the established form from the Central Election Commission for collecting voters’ signatures, and now work has begun to collect signatures throughout the country.

Authorized representatives expressed their opinions on the participation of parties in the elections and the process of collecting signatures.

Bakhtiyor Yakubov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP, authorized representative of the party:

– We take the collection of signatures for participation in this year’s elections very seriously. The collection of voters’ signatures will be carried out in 15 thousand primary organizations of UzLiDeP, at the place of work, study, and residence of the population, at pre-election events, as well as in places not prohibited by law for campaigning and collecting signatures.

Our party will participate in the current elections based on a new strategy. The goal is to convey the party’s ideas to voters and listen to their opinions and suggestions by going door-to-door to more than 3 million households.

Abdukamol Rakhmonov, Deputy Chairman of the Political Council of the SDP of Uzbekistan “Adolat”, authorized representative of the party:

– In connection with the upcoming elections this year, the Central Election Commission has issued signature sheets of the established form for collecting signatures of voters supporting the party’s participation.

The Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” has also set a goal to participate in these elections. An essential stage in organizing the elections has begun – collecting signatures supporting the party, carried out in all populated areas of the country with the assistance of local party councils and its primary organizations. I am convinced that our ideas aimed at social justice, unity, and ensuring the priority of the law will not leave citizens indifferent, so we hope for their support.

Firdavs Sharipov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, authorized representative of the party:

– The collection of signatures is one of the essential requirements for participation in the elections, which is an active process of the election campaign. The People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan will take a worthy part in this process. In this regard, we, together with responsible workers of party organizations, deputies, and activists, outlined the necessary measures at the party plenum.

In populated areas, markets, and primary party organizations, we explain the importance of collecting and filling out signature sheets. This process is promptly and at the proper level controlled by headquarters formed under the Central Council and local councils of the party. When filling out signature sheets, cases prohibited by law are not allowed. In this area, the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan has extensive experience accumulated during repeated election participation. There will be no problem in collecting a sufficient number of signatures in support of our party.

Bakhodir Mamatkhonov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish”, authorized representative of the party:

– The party has outlined the necessary measures for worthy participation in this year’s elections. There are 800 thousand members in our party, and it is widely known among the people, so there will be no difficulties in collecting the required number of signatures supporting the party.

For the first time in our country, elections will be held based on the mixed electoral system. This will contribute to implementing this necessary political process in an atmosphere of high competition. I think that our party will achieve excellent results in the current elections.

Oybek Rakhimov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, authorized representative of the party:

– After receiving signature sheets of the established form from the Central Election Commission, they were delivered to all party links at all levels. Party organizations actively began collecting signatures.

The Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, its ideas and goals are widely supported by compatriots. The party can collect signatures promptly and submit them to the Central Election Commission.
