10:51 / 2026-02-08

Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan Investment Company (AUIC) has announced new investments in projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of higher education, digital infrastructure, and retail trade.

In the field of education, AUIC has established a presence in the capital of the American University of Technology in Tashkent, in partnership with Cintana Education and Arizona State University. The volume of direct investment amounted to $2 million. The funds will be used to develop the university’s infrastructure and strengthen its material-technical base. AUIC considers participation in this project an opportunity to make a practical contribution to the development of a modern academic environment conducive to training competitive specialists and to strengthening the country’s scientific-educational potential.

“The project aims at developing international academic cooperation and the introduction of educational and management practices, as well as supporting the institutional development of the higher education system in Uzbekistan”, said a company representative.

The development of digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan is driving increased demand for data centers, computing power, and IT solutions. In this regard, AUIC has invested $1.7 million in a joint venture with Engineering+ in the technology sector. The project supports the localization of equipment production for next-generation data centers using ICE+ immersion cooling technology, including micro-data centers and high-performance servers for artificial intelligence and cloud computing tasks.

The production is focused on the domestic market and on exports to Central Asia and the Middle East.

The company also invested $15 million in a local retail network. The deal aims at scaling the network, developing logistics infrastructure, and operational processes.

Earlier, it was reported that investment in individual projects ranges from $1 to $25 million and is focused on projects across industries such as education, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and food processing.
