Athletes of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan recorded a historic result at the World Championship

The World Para Athletics Championship, which started on May 15 in Kobe, Japan, has ended.

In the competition, which was attended by over a thousand para-athletes from 103 countries, the national team of Uzbekistan collected 7 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals, a total of 13 medals, and took 3rd place. This is a monumental achievement, especially when compared to the previous world championships where the Uzbekistan national team took 10th and 9th place, showing a significant improvement in their performance and dedication to the sport.

In addition, Nurkhan Gurbanova and Asila Mirzayorova broke world records in their fields, a feat that not only demonstrates their exceptional talent but also sets a new standard for para-athletics, inspiring future generations of athletes.

These victories are a direct result of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s unwavering support and attention to the Paralympic movement. His commitment has been instrumental in our athletes' success.
