At the festival in India, Rano Shodiyeva wins in the nomination for “Best Female Image”

During the Festival of Feature and Television Films of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the city of Mumbai, the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Rano Shodiyeva was recognized as the winner in the nomination “Best Female Image”.

The feature film “The Fate of a Woman”, filmed with the support of the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the film studios “Central Asian Trade Company” and “Dilshohmedia”, is based on real events. It tells about the fate of Sojida, one of the 100 women who returned from Syria as part of the “Mehr” operation, carried out in 2019-2020 by the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“We worked hard, and work brought such a long-awaited, pleasant recognition”, said the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Rano Shodiyeva who skillfully performed the role of Sojida. – All the films submitted for the competition were of a very high level, and the actors who played in them are also talented. I was very happy when I was chosen from among so many participants. At this festival, we were awarded one of 8 awards. This achievement is not only mine, but also of our entire group, of the entire Uzbek cinema. Such recognition is necessary for a creative person, it inspires.

The scriptwriters of the feature film “The Fate of a Woman” are Dilmurod Masaidov and Sardor Khamrayev, director – Dilmurod Masaidov, director of photography – Khusan Aliyev, producer – Makhmud Erkabayev, costume designer – Sevara Zunnunova, film director – Azizbek Azatbayev.

Cast: Rano Shodiyeva, Ilkhom Berdiyev, Dadakhan Obidov, Sirojiddin Satorov, Shokhsanem Abdijamilova, Olim Jalolov, Dilmurod Kambarov, and others.

The feature film “The Fate of a Woman” received the Grand Prix at the 2nd Korkut Ata Film Festival in Bursa, Türkiye, and the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Rano Shodiyeva was awarded a special jury prize.
