Samarkand hosts the International Forum “Integration of education, production and science – a driver of academic efficiency”. Representatives of more than 200 higher education institutions, as well as manufacturing enterprises, ministries and agencies of the two countries, are attending the event.
The program covers issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, including interuniversity cooperation, development and operation of a network of branches of Russian education organizations in Uzbekistan, learning the Russian language, training and advanced training of personnel, interaction between preschool and secondary education systems.
The Rector of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev, Konstantin Markelov, presented the concept of an engineering school and spoke about the experience of the university in this area.
“The most urgent goal of developing engineering education at our university is training engineering personnel with knowledge, skills, personal qualities and competencies that meet the requirements of the economy of the 21st century, the goals and objectives of socio-economic development, the structure of the labor market in the South of Russia and the Caspian Sea for the period up to 2028”, the Rector said.
The concept of an engineering school involves the creation of an environment that would provide networking between educational organizations for continuous high-quality training of personnel. The project involves in-depth practice-oriented project-based training of students, thanks to which they will be motivated to enter engineering specialties. Industrial enterprises, public and professional organizations will participate in the educational process.
The engineering school project is planned to be used to support and develop the Olympiad movement in physics and mathematics cycle.
