Astana hosts the World Boxing Cup.

250 boxers from 30 countries are taking part in the competition.

Uzbekistan women’s national team member, Sabina Boboqulova, beat Kelsey Oakley from England with a score of 4:1 in the -51 kg weight category. Paris 2024 Olympic Games participant, Sitora Turdibekova, lost to Gizem Özer from Türkiye with a score of 1:4 in the -60 kg weight category.

3 members of the Uzbekistan national team will enter the ring today.  Feruza Kazakova will compete (-54 kg) with Anel Sakysh from Kazakhstan, Humorabonu Mamajonova (-57 kg) with Wu Shih-yi from Chinese Taipei, and Aziza Zokirova (-75 kg) with Oliwia Toborek from Poland.

The championships will run until July 6.
