On August 7, Astana hosted a business forum, bringing together more than 300 Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan businesspeople.

The meeting was attended by heads of ministries, agencies, industry associations, regional administrations of the two countries, and representatives of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.

According to the Agency, joint projects covering areas such as the automotive industry, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemical industry, and logistics were discussed, and a package of new agreements worth $5 billion was formed.

B2B and G2B meetings were held as part of the forum. The businesspeople of the two countries discussed in detail the prospects for further cooperation and its practical aspects.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KAZ AMT and ASTESS Atramatik Steril Jarrohlik Iplari, Dolche and Medprotect Technology LLCs.
