Asian Games: To Be Worthy of Trust

Competitions at the Asian Games intensified: on 27 September, 47 sets of medals were competed for.

During the day, Uzbekistan’s athletes participated in swimming, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, judo, chess, e-sports, shooting, taekwondo, wushu, and boxing competitions.

Based on the results of the judo competitions held by this time, the Uzbekistan National Team consisting of Murodjon Yuldashev, Davlat Bobonov, Alisher Yusupov, Rinata Ilmatova, Diyora Keldiyorova, Gulnoza Matniyozova beat the Thai team. In the semi-finals, they won the Chinese team with a score of 4:2 and are on their way to the final. Now Uzbekistan’s judokas will fight for gold medals with representatives of Japan.

Eldorbek Usmonov will take part in the final 100-meter butterfly swimming competition. The swim will take place in the afternoon.

Uzbekistan men’s foil fencing team competed against the Chinese team in the quarterfinals and lost to their opponents with a score of 26:45.

Tennis player Khumoyun Sultanov plays singles in the quarterfinals. In the first set of the match with the representative of Chinese Taipei, he lost to his opponent with a score of 4:6.

Uzbekistan’s swimmer Yegor Petryakov showed a result of 1:52:00 at the qualifying stage in the 200-meter freestyle and won first place in his qualifying group. Still, this result was not enough to reach the final.

Today, during the day, members of Uzbekistan’s taekwondo team Jasurbek Jaisunov, Feruza Sodikova, and the winner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Ulugbek Rashitov will compete for medals.

In addition, Uzbekistan’s handball players (group “C”) will be included in the qualifying competitions and will play with the Bahrain team, and the women’s team will compete with representatives of Kazakhstan.

In women’s boxing (up to 50 kilograms), Sabina Bobokulova will enter the ring against Danisha Mathialagan from Singapore in the 1/8 finals. Ruslan Abdullayev will meet with Chinzorig Baatarsükhiin (Mongolia), Lazizbek Mullajonov – with Sanjeet Sanjeet (India).

On this competition day, attention will be focused on Uzbekistan’s chess players Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javokhir Sindorov, Nilufar Yakubboyeva, and Umida Omonova.
