Special attention is being paid to gathering in the cotton harvest without any loss. On the initiative of the region’s directorate for culture and sport, interesting meetings are being arranged with well-known artistes and creative workers in fields. Cotton pickers are glad about events being held with the participation of artistes from district and town culture houses, the regional department of the Ozbeknavo performing arts association and the Surkhondaryo Region music drama theatre named after Mannon Uyghur.

Artistes of the Surkhondaryo Region music drama theatre named after Mannon Uyghur have visited Angor, Sherobod, Muzrabot and Qiziriq Districts to provide cultural services for those working in fields. Episodes of interesting plays are being presented.

“The need for the harvest produced thanks to tremendous efforts of our peasants to be gathered in in a short space of time places a big responsibility on all of us. On the basis of a programme that was mapped out, we are paying special attention now to cotton pickers’ proper cultural recreation. Famous artistes are visiting districts to meet cotton pickers. They are presenting concert programmes and episodes of various plays, which serves to ensure cotton pickers’ cultural recreation, ” says the theatre’s chief director, Mansur Ravshanov.
