Artificial intelligence to be used to prevent corruption
09:00 / 2023-09-14

The Anti-Corruption Agency hosted a meeting with representatives of the G42 company of the United Arab Emirates.

G42 develops and implements projects to introduce artificial intelligence’s capabilities in public services, finance, and sports.

The company has created software products that allow using an artificial intelligence algorithm to determine cases of affinity and conflicts of interest and prevent the legalization of criminal proceeds and violations of the law in public procurement.

Issues of creating such a platform in Uzbekistan and establishing cooperation in the widespread introduction of digital technologies into the activities of the Anti-Corruption Agency were discussed in detail at the meeting.

As it was noted, the Agency, together with partner organizations, has developed several electronic programs and products.

For example, this is the e-anticor platform for evaluating the activities of government agencies in the fight against corruption, an electronic program designed to assess the openness of state bodies and an electronic system for accepting citizens’ appeals. At the same time, a platform is used that allows artificial intelligence to monitor social networks.

It is also planned to introduce artificial intelligence-based electronic platforms into the Agency’s activities in public procurement and implementation of anti-corruption programs and strategies.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on determining the exact areas of cooperation in digitalizing the Agency’s activities and introducing artificial intelligence.
