Ark – the “heart” of Bukhara
Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim visited the Ark Fortress, which is the most frequently visited by tourists.
The guests were informed about the complex here. They were particularly interested in the building located in the fortress, the Takhtkhona (Throne Room).

The Ark Fortress is the most ancient historical monument in Bukhara. Its height is 16-20 meters.

The Arch resembles a polygon stretched to the east. According to archaeological research on the fortress’s territory, its walls were erected before our era.

As a result of the conquest of Bukhara in 1920, along with many monuments, the Ark Fortress was destroyed. The Bukhara State Museum-Reserve operates on the preserved territory of the fortress on 1.1 hectares.
