The annual Open Data Challenge 2020 competition for developing applications using open data will be held online on 4-6 December.

Participation in the Hackathon is free. Applications must be submitted before December 1.

The organizers of the event are the IT Park, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, and the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan.

The main objective of the competition is to create publicly available socially significant or innovative applications and services based on open data available on data.gov.uz portal and on the official websites of Uzbekistan state bodies, as well as data provided by the private sector.

The Hackathon will last for three days. The competition program includes lectures and workshops from IT specialists.

This year the Hackathon will be held in four directions: public sector, social sector, business, data generation and transformation.
