Director of the International Institute for Central Asia, Anvar Nosirov, addressed the session “Uzbekistan – Korea: Comprehensive political dialogue as the basis of a special strategic partnership” at the expert forum in Tashkent.
He emphasized that enhancing and deepening the dialogue between Uzbekistan and Korea in all spheres, which began in the 90s of the last century, had a positive impact on the development of cooperation between the two countries.
– In recent years, a strong political and economic partnership has been established between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. There is no doubt that the New Northern Policy implemented by our Korean friends in recent years will have a positive impact on comprehensive cooperation. Thanks to the political will of the leadership of South Korea and the leaders of the Central Asian countries, the established mutual trusting relations, the indicator of interaction in all areas is consistently growing. The existing historical and cultural ties between the countries are being strengthened.
Korea has established close relations with all Central Asian countries, and a special strategic partnership with Uzbekistan.
Regular communication at a high level, active economic interaction and investment activities, meaningful cultural and humanitarian collaboration have become important components of the interaction.
It is also very important that the “Central Asia + Korea” format was launched in 2007, which allows Korea to carry out multilateral cooperation with all the Central Asian countries.
The forum will make a significant contribution to strengthening mutual trust, intensifying multifaceted cooperation in various areas, taking into account the interests of all parties.
