ANSA – the first partner of UzA in Western Europe

Uzbekistan National News Agency has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the most influential Italian news agency.

ANSA is Italy’s national news agency with correspondents in more than 50 countries. It cooperates with around 70 international partners across Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia. ANSA has 73 foreign offices and 22 representative offices on five continents worldwide.

On June 21, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA and ANSA.

The virtual meeting was attended by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan to this European country, Agostino Pinna and Otabek Akbarov, ANSA, and UzA representatives.

ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri noted he was proud to be the first agency in Western Europe to sign an agreement with UzA.

“This cooperation increases mutual trust between our countries”, Mr. Stefano De Alessandri said. – Now, we can offer our subscribers more comprehensive and reliable information.

At the meeting, UzA Director General A. Kuchimov noted that strengthening relations with media on a global scale is considered a strategic task for the Agency.

“We are actively exchanging information with major news agencies in all regions. Partnership with ANSA creates a basis for studying the activities of the entire region and rapid information exchange with Europe”, UzA Director General said. – ANSA is the first information partner of UzA in Western Europe.

The Ambassadors expressed confidence that cooperation in media will positively affect the development of strategic relations between Uzbekistan and Italy and strengthen friendship further.

According to the Memorandum, the two agencies will now regularly cooperate with the embassies in Tashkent and Rome and will have the authority to use articles and videos.

ANSA, re-established based on the Stefani News Agency, specializes in collecting, publishing, and distributing news reporting. The ANSA is a cooperative of 36 members of the main Italian newspaper publishers.

The Agency, cooperating with prestigious agencies such as France-Press and Reuters, prepares and distributes news, analytical articles, and video reports in Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, and Arabic.
