On December 2, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the plenary session of Russia – Uzbekistan Business Forum, in Samarkand.

The head of the region stressed that two important joint projects were implemented in Uzbekistan in 2022: the opening of the Chirchiq Chemical and Industrial Technopark and the branch of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University in Jizzakh.

Active cooperation with several large industrial enterprises has also been established and is underway.

In addition, addressing the joint meeting of Uzbekistan – Russia and Russia –Uzbekistan Business Councils on December 1, the Director General of the Himgrad JSC Airat Gizatullin announced the opening of another industrial zone in Jizzakh, the Trade Mission of Russia in Uzbekistan reports.
