Kyrgyzstan hosted the First International Film Festival “Aitmatov and Cinema”.

Filmmakers from Uzbekistan are also participating in the event.

According to the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, the feature film “Sunday”, filmed at the request of the Agency by director Shakir Khalikov, received the Grand Prix in the “Best Film” category.
