At present, cars and trucks, buses produced in Uzbekistan are being exported abroad. Production of cars based on the chassis of ISUZU was launched at the company which started its commercial operations in 1999 and was reorganized in 2006 to LLC “SamAuto” in collaboration with the Japanese company ”ISUZU Motors Ltd”.

As of today, buses of categories I and II series M3, including the city midibuses, trucks and special vehicles with carrying capacity up to 5000 kg, the F series vehicles have been joined to the model number of "SamAuto".

In accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country since 2011 Samarkand automobile plant began producing vehicles with engines running on compressed natural gas. It goes to show that the domestic industry is developing in line with global trends using natural gas as a motor fuel.

According to the project, implemented under the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 3, 2013, for 2014-2015, the company received an order for the production of more than thousands of garbage trucks running on liquefied natural gas. In addition, the company developed the production of similar cars on gas with 3 body types – van, board and truck.

Twenty thousandth vehicle of the Samarkand automobile plant – model "ISUZU NPR82" also operates on liquefied natural gas.

At the presentation of the vehicle, the representatives of the Uzavtosanoat joint-stock company and companies ISUZU Motors, Itochu Corporation made speech about the high technological parameters and modern design of automobiles, the value of the domestic auto industry to the country's economic development.

It should be noted that the Samarkand automobile plant has the international certificates ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001.
