08:49 / 2020-12-18

On December 17, a ceremony of signing a grant agreement was held in Tashkent within the framework of Japanese government program “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects”.

At the event, representatives of the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan and the Iskhokhon Ibrat boarding school under the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools signed a grant agreement worth $41,270.

Within the framework of the grant assistance from 1995 to the present, 399 projects worth 28 million 547 thousand USD have been implemented in Uzbekistan. Support has been provided to medical and education institutions, local authorities and NGOs.

It was noted that these grant funds are aimed at eliminating the differences in education and medicine between major cities and regions. At the same time, as noted, a number of measures will be implemented in this direction next year.
