Five members of the National Boxing team of Uzbekistan have won the licenses to the XXXI Summer Olympic Games.

Five members of the National Boxing team of Uzbekistan have won the licenses to the XXXI Summer Olympic Games.

The semifinal matches of the AIBA Asian/Oceanian Olympic Qualification Event completed in Qian’an, China. Earlier it was reported that Hasanboy Dusmatov and Yodgorov Mirzaeva in their weight categories reached the finals and got tickets to the Olympics-2016.

Five other members of our team won the semi-finals and taking part in the finals, received the licenses to the XXXI Summer Olympic Games which will be held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

Among the boxers in the weight category up to 52 kg, Shahobiddin Zoirov won over Azat Usenaliev from Kyrgyzstan, and among the boxers in the weight category up to 69 kg Shahram Giyosov defeated Santos Marcial from the Philippines.

In the weight category up to 81 kg, experienced boxer Elshod Rasulov in the second round knocked out Erkin Adilbek Uulu from Kyrgyzstan and won the fight.

In the weight category up to 91 kg, Rustam Tulaganov won the match against Jason Whateley from Austria, in super heavyweight category (91 kg +), Bahodir Jalolov in the third round beat Iranian boxer Abdulmajid Sepahvandi with a technical knockout.
