Another batch of the medicinal plant saffron grown in Uzbekistan exported to Italy
Another batch of the medicinal plant saffron worth 1.1 million euros has been shipped to the office of BMB Trade Group in Italy.
The products grown in Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region were shipped under the BMB Zaʼfaron brand, which is gaining popularity abroad.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the ministries of Investments and Foreign Trade, Agriculture of Uzbekistan, employees of the BMB Trade Group and the media.
As previously reported, the first batch of products was shipped to Europe on July 29.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Trade Group Bekzod Mamatkulov noted that the project on creating saffron plantations in Jizzakh region is being implemented with the active support of the Ministries of Investments and Foreign Trade, Agriculture, Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy.
