Fergana region welcomed international observers who arrived in the country to observe the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Director of the Latvian Institute of International Affairs Andris Spruds shared his impressions.

“The electoral process is transparent”, says Mr. Andris Spruds. – I visited several polling stations in Fergana regional center, got acquainted with the activities of the 71st polling station located in Fergana State University. Voters are well aware of their duty and responsibility. During voting, everyone votes freely. I also visited the Museum of the Victims of Repression, established at the university. The activities of such museums are necessary to remember history.
