Large-scale activity is being carried out in Andijan region to support local producers. New industries are being created.

One of the projects worth 70 billion 560 million UZS is being implemented in Markhamat district – the production of paper from stone.

Hokim of the region Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov got acquainted with the activity carried out within the framework of this project, which is being implemented by the LLC Markhamat Methane Gas.

“We are completing the finishing work”, says the entrepreneur Qobiljon Obidov. – In accordance with the contract signed with China’s Nanjing GS-mach Extrusion Equipment Co.,Ltd. we import and install modern equipment. By the end of the year, we are planning to start producing high-quality import-substituting products.

Stone paper has several advantages. First, a lot of water is used to make cellulose paper, which makes it unsuitable for further use due to harmful substances in the composition. And water is not used in the production of paper from stone. Second, such paper has better durability. It is resistant to moisture and dirt. Therefore, stone paper is convenient to use in printing, packaging and wallpaper production. It is in high demand in the foreign market.

The company will employ 400 people.
