Ancient mosque in Chust
The cathedral mosque in the village of Ogasaray in Chust district of Namangan region was built in 1901 on the initiative of a merchant and livestock breeder Mulla Mirzabay.
During the Soviet period, a part of the mosque was used as a kindergarten and part as a Museum of Glory. By 1992, the mosque was abandoned, but then the population repaired it. In 2007-2008, thanks to the efforts of the residents, the mosque was overhauled.
The mosque has retained its historical value. A mahalla library and museum have been organized.
