Bukhara hosts a scientific and practical conference on “Prospects for the development of traditional gold embroidery, jewelry and embroidery art” as part of the International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry and a National Embroidery Festival.

The event is attended by 33 foreign scientists from 22 countries and 20 Uzbek researchers and 11 specialists from 9 countries.

The festival aims to further strengthen friendship and cooperation between peoples by developing the traditions of embroidery and jewelry, promoting unique patterns, and exchanging experience in these areas.

The forum will serve to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties, preserve and revive professional traditions and handicrafts schools that are passed down from generation to generation, as well as further increase the tourism potential of the region.

Fairs of gold embroidery, folk crafts, works of fine and applied art, ancient jewelry and jewelry manufacturing processes will be held. Exhibitions and fairs of feature and documentary films, books, albums and photographs will be organized.
