12:45 / 2022-08-31

A festive event on the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in the Ark Fortress, in Bukhara.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was played. Hokim of the region Botir Zaripov delivered a congratulatory speech at the festive event.

“31 years ago the Republic of Uzbekistan gained state independence and embarked on the path of independent development”, said Mr. Zaripov. – Independence has allowed our country to become the absolute master of our destiny, to realize our value, to lead a decent life, building a legal democratic state and civil society. Independence is a solid foundation for every person to fully demonstrate their talents and abilities in the economic and social spheres, to realize their rights and freedoms. During the years of independence, our ancient history, rich heritage, national statehood, sacred religion, customs and traditions have been revived. Today, such noble qualities as kindness, tolerance, solidarity, respect for national and universal values, and a sense of belonging to Motherland's fate and future have arisen in our hearts' depths.

The festive event continued with a gala concert and a theatrical performance of young performers, masters of arts of the country.
