Today, Türkiye’s Anadolu Agency representatives – which occupies a special place in the global information space – member of the Executive Board Dr. İsmail Çağlar, Project Management Coordinator Oguz Karakaş, and Marketing and Business Development Director Erman Yuksel visited the Uzbekistan National News Agency.

Guests were informed about the positive changes in the country’s media space. It was noted that the mutual strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye is actively developing, and ties between member countries of the Organization of Turkic States are enhancing. In this process, the mutual exchange of reliable information is essential.

“We are always glad to see our Turkish friends and colleagues”, says Mr. Abdusaid Kuchimov, Director General of the Uzbekistan National News Agency. “As part of the meetings of the leaders of our countries, a memorandum was signed between UzA and Anadolu”.

The guests noted that Anadolu is a world-famous online publication. The Agency’s website provides information in 13 languages.

On November 6 last year, at the initiative of Anadolu, a large meeting was held in Istanbul dedicated to the creation of the Alliance of Turkic News Agencies and the heads of state media structures of Uzbekistan (UzA), Türkiye (Turkic States AA), Kazakhstan (QazContent), Azerbaijan (Azertac), and Kyrgyzstan (Kabar) signed the Joint Declaration.

“We are very pleased to be in Uzbekistan and visit UzA”, says Marketing and Business Development Director, Mr. Erman Yuksel. “Anadolu Agency turned 104 years old. Hundreds of journalists and photojournalists work in more than 140 offices in 39 countries”.

During the conversation, the agenda for the association’s next meeting, which will be held on June 21-23, was discussed. The initiative to conduct training on military journalism skills, scheduled for July 1-12, was supported.
