Paying tribute to all those killed in the plane crash, including the football players and coaches of the Pakhtakor 79 club, the Public Diplomacy Center, together with the football associations of Uzbekistan and the city of Tashkent, with the support of the Council of Football Veterans and the Pakhtakor club, held several events.
In particular, a tournament was held with the participation of veteran teams from the cities of Khujand (Tajikistan), Aktobe (Kazakhstan), and Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

Director of the Center Kabuljon Sabirov noted: “The football players who defended the colors of their native club with honor are still remembered and loved. Their names are forever inscribed in the sports annals of Uzbekistan and the entire CIS. With these friendly matches, we pay tribute to the memory and respect of the deceased players”.

In turn, the legend of the national football Tulyagan Isakov emphasized that, despite the passing decades and the change of generations, it is very pleasing how the older generation passes on their thoughts and knowledge about Pakhtakor to the young.

After the match, all participants were awarded memorable gifts, medals, and certificates.
