The Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of sericulture and wool industry is working on the development of subordinate areas, including the expansion of international cooperation in these areas.
Following the memorandum signed with the German charitable foundation Michael-Succow-Stiftung, the parties cooperate in improving desert ecosystems, preserving biological diversity, exchanging technologies and information, conducting joint scientific research, and training personnel.

Chairman of the Association for the Development of Pasture Farms Erkin Khayitov met with Jens Wunderlich, coordinator of the project for the protection of nature of this foundation.
To implement the tasks outlined in the memorandum, the fund, with the assistance of the committee, proposed the concept of national action to mitigate the effects of climate change in the use of desert pastures “NAMA PIN”.

A pilot project was presented within the framework of the NAMA PIN concept, designed for eight years. For the first four years, it will be launched in a test mode and will be held in Bukhara and Samarkand regions.
According to the project, the operation of new approaches and technologies for the restoration of pasture ecosystems on at least 15,000 hectares, as well as for adaptation, sustainable management and improving the efficiency of pastures, will be tested.
