Emirates News Agency launched WAM News System, equipped with the latest artificial intelligence solutions, to provide automated media management.

The launch ceremony of the system was held at the Global Media Congress at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.

The innovation system aims to improve the agency’s adaptability to the media industry, provide more innovative services to partners and introduce sustainable media business models in the UAE in line with the latest digital transformations.

“As directed by the leadership, the Emirates News Agency is committed to using cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence solutions to deliver dynamic digital media services to the media at the highest international level”, said Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, WAM Executive Director. – This system represents a transformational shift in the media and information sectors in terms of managing mechanisms for publishing and digital archiving of media materials in chronological order, allowing media professionals to optimally manage news and visual content.

The WAM News System will facilitate the management of the flow of information and media activities, while ensuring the smooth delivery of materials to the media.
