A big event was the opening of an industrial zone for the production of pottery, created based on the former factory of artistic ceramics, located in the mahalla named after Navoi of the district. Today, over 100 women permanently work in the porcelain decorating workshop of MM Porcelain LLC, founded by entrepreneur Mukhayyo Sattorova. In addition, more than 700 unemployed women from 300 households were involved in home-based work. This year, the company plans to export porcelain worth $1 million.

Based on an investment project worth 10 billion UZS, the Mingboshi Ceramics family enterprise, headed by Shokirjon Akhmadjonov, has created large cooperation in pottery. 100 people are provided with permanent work at the enterprise, more than 3 thousand people are involved in home-based work by the enterprise. This year, the company signed an export contract for the supply of products to the Russian city of Yekaterinburg for $5 million.

Currently, such specialized industrial zones are being created in Tod, Dahbad, Dehkanabad and other mahallas of the district. This year, international cooperation has been established between the world-famous Italian city of Deruta, Turkey’s Iznik city and Rishtan district, which are famous for their unique pottery art.
